He has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications focused on addiction disorders and schizophrenia and has received research funding from the VA and NIH. Dr. Gavin has over 10 years of experience treating patients and training residents in the care of individuals with a wide range of psychiatric conditions. His work has been recognized with numerous honors, including the UIC Departmental Faculty of the Year Award, the NARSAD Young Investigator Grant, and the APIRE/AstraZeneca Young Minds in Psychiatry Award. Dr. Gavin specializes in evidence-based psychopharmacology and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to treat mental health disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and ADHD.
